Kathy is a visionary committed to becoming a change agent for those in her community affected by trauma, especially those who have experienced abuse. She is driven to help both individuals currently enduring these challenges and those who have survived but still struggle to find their voice and proudly declare, “I am a Survivor.”
Her mission is deeply rooted in her personal experience with domestic violence, which profoundly impacted her life. Kathy felt called to empower others by raising awareness about the effects of abuse and providing strength to those who are still suffering. It took Kathy over 20 years to discover her own voice, and she believes that being heard is one of the most powerful steps in the healing process.
Kathy has been married to Jimmie Suber since 2011, who she credits as her source of reason and encouragement in sharing her raw, honest truth. As Jimmie often says, “There are other women who are where you once were; they need to hear your story to begin their own journey toward healing.” Together, they have four children: Contrareus, Jasmine, Jimeka and Joshua.
