Lillie Genene Matthews Gorham born in Eastern North Carolina. After graduating high school, she enlisted in the United States Army as a Communications Specialist. Her military tours of duty include Germany, France, Italy, and various locations around the United States. Lillie is a decorated combat veteran after serving in the Persian Gulf during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. She has an Associate Degree in Biblical Studies. Lillie enjoys traveling, decorating, crafting, and studying the Bible.
She is married to William E. Gorham Jr., and the mother of one daughter, Camille G. Deal and the grandmother of Elijah Ray Embers, her only grandson.
