Trauma Informed Parenting: Protective Strategies to Prevent Intergenerational Harm

Roger O. Brown, PH.D was born in Kingston, Jamaica, and raised in Ocho Rios, where family, faith, and education shaped his early years. In 1995, he relocated to the United States, marking the beginning of a new chapter that would lead him through various endeavors, including hospitality, healthcare, and entrepreneurship. With degrees in healthcare administration and business, and certifications ranging from medical billing to insurance adjusting, Roger built a career marked by resilience and growth.

In 2011, he launched One Touch of Elegance, LLC, combining his vision and creativity as a wedding and event planner. His pursuit of higher learning culminated in 2025, when he earned his Doctorate in Psychology with a specialization in Trauma and Disaster Relief.

Deeply committed to ministry, Roger serves in prison outreach, choir, and altar work at Eastwind Pentecostal Church in Palm Bay, Florida. A devoted father and lifelong learner, he credits his journey to the support of family, mentors, and spiritual leaders who invested in his life and purpose.
